October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Ballou Recreation Center is hosting its second annual luncheon for cancer survivors, caregivers, and those living with cancer. Connect with participants, share your stories, and raise awareness together. Registration is required. Limited spots available. Ages 50 and over. This event is sponsored by Sovah Health.
Journey with us on a guided tour of Reynolda House Museum of American Art. The house holds one of the country’s finest collections of American paintings. Built in 1917 by Katharine Smith Reynolds and her husband, R.J. Reynolds. After the tour of the home, you will enjoy lunch at your own expense at Village Tavern and then tour the Reynolda Gardens before returning. Museum tickets are purchased at the door upon arrival. If you currently receive EBT and present a valid ID, the museum tour is free. Ages 50 and over. Registration is required.
