The Municipal Building and all other City of Danville administrative offices will be closed on Friday, July 3, in observance of Independence Day. In addition, the public library and the James F. Ingram Justice Center (courthouse) will be closed.
The public library will be closed on Friday for the holiday and on Saturday because it has not yet resumed Saturday operations.
Danville Transit will operate on Friday but not on Saturday.
Household trash and yard waste will be collected on Friday as regularly scheduled – no change in schedule.
Offices, the library and the courthouse will reopen on Monday, July 6.

The 12th Annual Patriot Challenge will feature a 4x4 race, 4 Miles on the 4th. The trail race on Anglers Ridge Mountain Bike Trail is a great way to start off Independence Day. An ice cream social will be held after the race. Race Swag will be given to the first 75 who register! Read the rules and regulations on the website linked below. The event is sponsored by Danville Parks and Recreation.
