Danville Police responded to a shots fired call in the 200 block of First Street this morning.
At approximately 2:43 A.M. this morning, Danville Police responded to the 200 block of First Street on an initial report of shots fired. Officers found a 34 year-old male victim and North Carolina resident suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. The Danville Life Saving Crew responded and pronounced the victim dead from his injuries. The body will be taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Roanoke for an autopsy. The investigation is ongoing.
