At approximately 2:00 pm today, an Eastbound City of Danville bus stopped at the bus stop on Union Street Bridge Road near the intersection with Henry Street. A 2006 Cadillac, operated by Erin Sigmon, Spring Lake North Carolina, struck the rear of the bus. Four people were transported to the Danville Regional Medical Center with what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries. Erin Sigmon was charged with failure to maintain proper control of her vehicle.
