Shortly before midnight Saturday night, Police responded to the 2100 block of Spencer Street for a report of a shooting. Two individuals were transported to Danville Regional Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The preliminary investigation revealed that a dispute between groups of individuals escalated to a firearm being produced and fired where an occupied van was struck multiple times.
As a result of this incident Lamonta LeShawn Adams, age 25 of Danville was charged with Malicious Wounding, Attempted Malicious Wounding, Shooting into Occupied Vehicle, Attempted Sexual Battery, and Discharge Firearm in Public Place.
