On May 2, 2011, at approximately 9:05pm, officers responded to the 900 block of Cole Street in reference to a shots fired call. Upon arriving at the scene, officers located two gunshot victims. Both were transported to the Danville Regional Medical Center by the Danville Life Saving Crew. One of the victims died a short time later. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
