A vehicle crash involving a City of Danville Mass Transit Bus sent three people to the hospital this afternoon.
At approximately 1:58 pm today, Danville Police responded to investigate a vehicle crash at the intersection of Stratford Place and Westhampton Avenue. The investigation revealed that a 2007 Chrysler made a wide right turn from Westhampton Avenue onto Stratford Place and struck a 2006 Chevrolet Bus owned by the City of Danville Mass Transit System. The bus was traveling north on Stratford Place and was struck in the left rear side area resulting in approximately $800 damage. Three passengers in the bus were transported to Danville Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. The Chrysler sustained approximately $2,000 damage. The driver of the Chrysler, Ashlynn Denise Massey, age 21 of Danville was charged with fail to yield right of way as a result.
