Danville Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred shortly before noon today.
At approximately 11:47 am a man walked into the Virginia Bank and Trust located at 3300 North Main Street. He produced a handgun, demanded money from the bank employees, and fled the scene in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect is described as a white male, in his 30’s or 40’s, 6’2”, and wearing a dark colored hoodie, sunglasses, and baseball cap. He is possibly operating an older model red pickup truck. In addition, the suspect made a comment to the victims about not having long to live.
