A Danville woman was assaulted yesterday evening by her live-in boyfriend during an argument and suffered a severe laceration to her head.
The victim was struck on the forehead with an aerosol can that Willie James Clements threw at her during an argument. The victim was transported to the Danville Regional Medical Center and was treated for her non-life threatening injuries and released.
Willie James Clements, 52, left the scene of the assault prior to police arrival but returned a few hours later and was arrested and charged with malicious wounding.
