There's no better way to enjoy summer break than with summer camp! Camps are back and better than ever. With different camps available at a variety range of age levels, there's a camp for everyone! Check out camp offerings below.

Out-of-School Camp

Baseball

Spend your summer building friendships, exploring the outdoors, and participating in healthy activities in a quality summer camp program. Our program follows all National Afterschool Alliance healthy eating and physical activity standards, and Virginia Childcare standards. Breakfast and lunch are provided through Danville Public Schools. Participants will need to bring an afternoon snack. This program is for rising first graders through sixth grade. Participants are welcome to bring their own breakfast and lunch. Registration is required. Call (434) 799-5150.


Outdoor Camps

Adventure camp iBoys kayaking

Prepare for an exciting outdoor day-camp consisting of hiking, kayaking, zip lining, high ropes adventures, and climbing wall challenges. This camp will also include one out of town trip to Fairy Stone State Park, arts and crafts, environmental education, and outdoor games. This fast-paced camp is for children ages 8-11. Adventure Camp II

Prepare for an exciting outdoor day-camp consisting of hiking, kayaking, zip lining, high ropes adventures, and climbing wall challenges. This camp will also include one out of town trip to Hanging Rock State Park, arts and crafts, environmental education, and outdoor games. This fun-filled camp is for children ages 12-14. This is a three-day workshop on kayaking basics and water safety on our very own Dan River. Participants will learn basic kayaking skills and techniques, safety protocols, and explore different sections of the Dan River. This workshop also includes an all-day river trip. Adventure to Hanging Rock

Calling all young adventurers! Seeking an adventure unlike no other? Join us as we travel to Hanging Rock State Park in North Carolina to spend four nights under the stars. We plan to hike the beautiful Pilot Mountain and Hanging Rock State Park, canoe on the Dan River, and learn camping basics, map reading, and camp cooking. This camp is perfect for beginners and experts alike seeking new thrills. This overnight camp is for children ages 12-14. Library Camps

Summer reading

"To the Library and Beyond!" Explore the galaxy through stories with the library this summer!  Avoid Summer Slide while school is out by participating in the library's Reading Challenge, June 1-July 31. Children and adults of all ages can read and complete activities to earn prizes. A library card is not required to participate, but you’ll want one to check out the books you choose for your challenge!  Participants can log their reading themselves on the Beanstack Tracker app or pick up a paper reading log at the library.

Camp grove recreation center Camps

Camp Grove Recreation Center provides access to programs and services for disabled individuals in the community. Services at Camp Grove center on ensuring participants are encouraged to step outside their comfort zone, experience independent life, and learn life skills—all while in an educational and safe environment.
