Through the generosity of individuals, foundations, and civic-minded corporations, the Friends of the Library provides funding for a variety of services and programs that contribute to the excellence of the Danville Public Library. Public / private partnerships help meet the costs of providing open access to a library system that is free of charge to all.
WHO THEY ARE
Friends are book lovers, information seekers, readers, listeners, music and movie buffs. Friends are young and old, with varying interests and backgrounds. Friends all treasure ideas and value the public library as a vital community resource.
WHAT THEY DO
Friends of the Library support library programs, volunteer to do projects and promote community awareness of libraries.
MEMBERSHIP
Membership has benefits. Attend special literary events and make new friends. A membership gift at any level makes a real difference to the Library and community.
