The Danville City Code Section 37-4 (c)- If any person, after being provided with the proper forms for returns listing personal property and/or machinery and tools for taxation, shall fail, within the time prescribed (on or before March 1), to deliver the list in the manner prescribed therein, he shall be guilty of a Class 3 misdemeanor.
Business Personal Property
Business Personal Property Returns (PDF) are due to be filed by March 1 of each year for furniture, fixtures, computers, peripherals and equipment used within a business. All assessments are by percentage of original cost.
Machinery & Tools
Machinery and Tools Returns (PDF) are due to be filed by March 1 of each year for equipment used in the manufacturing process.
