Building Maintenance
The Building Maintenance Section of the Public Works Buildings and Grounds Division is responsible for more than 100 City-owned buildings. This includes maintenance, custodial service, administration, and design for construction, renovations and repairs.
Grounds Maintenance
The Grounds Maintenance Section of the Public Works Buildings and Grounds Division is responsible for vegetative maintenance along City streets and around City buildings.
Services Provided
- Mowing of medians
- Maintenance of rights-of-way
- Maintenance of trees and hazardous trees
- Monitoring of insects and diseases which affect landscape plants
Emergency Response
The Grounds Maintenance crews respond to weather emergencies from high winds, ice storms, snow storms, and other natural events. They are also responsible for clearing City sidewalks and City parking lots.
